California, May 1, 2013-  Scholarship Lighthouse is pleased to announce Dr. Bethany Mickahail and Dr. Kate Andrews have co-authored a chapter in the award winning The Refractive Thinker® anthology series latest publication, The Refractive Thinker® –Volume II: Research Methodology (3rd edition). It is scheduled for September 2013 publication. Their chapter titled, The Enlightened Pen: the PDAI Research Model highlights a fresh hybrid model for research. Mickahail’s University of Denver 2010 dissertation, Parents as Change Agents in their Schools and Communities, was the instrument through which the PDAI research model was created. The Mickahail study using the PDAI 4 step cycle, investigates change processes as applied to the societal, governmental, institutional, physiological, emotional, or psychological research realms. Resulting recommendations hold significance for those who work with and advocate for the creation of policies that guide research, services, and programs.
