Hello everyone,

The Online College of Humanities and Sciences is proud to announce, The Enlightened Pen: The Praxis Documentation & Aesthetic Interpretation (PDAI) Mixed Research Model. This WebEx is part of the college’s ongoing Live Lecture Series.

Topic:
The Enlightened Pen: The Praxis Documentation & Aesthetic Interpretation (PDAI) Mixed Research Model

Date:
Wednesday, June 26th, at 4pm Arizona time

Description:

A newly developed mixed-method approach, the Praxis Documentation and Aesthetic Interpretation (PDAI) model, used to record the lived experience of individuals through oral history and poetic data display will be featured on the Live Lecture Series. The PDAI model is a mixed method 4-continuous step process: developing a praxis framework, collecting and documenting oral history data, creating a poetic representation, and determining resultant themes and findings through statistical analysis with additional quantitative data gathering/analysis. The model is continuous because change does not cease but continues to transform, adjust, and refine into a cycle of striving for knowledge and excellence. The PDAI model holds significance for those who seek to conduct research in new and inventive ways. Examples of uses of the PDAI model include
• Studies in the arts, education, psychology, the sciences and interdisciplinary studies.
• Major societal issues, such as studies chronicling major trends in society; school reform, civil rights, climate change, and technology and urban renewal

This Live Lecture will be presented by Bethany Mickahail,PhD and Kate Andrews,PhD.

This Live Lecture Series is coordinated by Lead Faculty for Scholarship for the Online College of Humanities and Sciences.
